🌱🪴 Last week, the Jefferson Elementary PTO sponsored a beautiful Garden Party in the Jefferson Elementary Outdoor Learning Space. Our students did a scavenger hunt, performed some garden yoga poses, planted seeds and painted rocks to celebrate Minnesota School Garden Week. Add in the bubbles and photo props, and the adults almost had more fun than the kids!
Our Garden Party was also selected as the place where Commissioner Petersen and Deputy Commissioner Vaubel from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture would read the Minnesota School Garden Week Proclamation. Helping with the proclamation were founding members of the Jefferson Outdoor Learning Space, Sophie, Zelli, Isabelle, and Calleigh. As third graders, these kids, and their friends, dared to dream and we are still harvesting the legacy of their dreams. Today, those students graduate from New Ulm High School. 💜
