Thanks to over $9,000 in ISD 88 Foundation Grant funding, Special Education Teacher Erika Leiser at Washington Learning Center is turning her vision for a Gross Motor Room into reality! 🎉

This new space is packed with opportunities for kids to move, climb, balance, build, explore and PLAY—with both gross motor AND fine motor tools designed to support growing minds and bodies.

Why does this matter?👇
🏃 Gross motor skills help preschoolers develop strength, balance, coordination and body awareness—skills they use every day for running, jumping, climbing and participating in activities.
✋ Fine motor skills build the hand strength and coordination needed for tasks like writing, cutting, buttoning clothes and using classroom tools.

And the best part? They’re learning through PLAY! ❤️
